Why is scrolling a web-page 2000-fold slower than it was 20 years ago?
-- It used to be that once a web-page loaded you could scroll up and down the whole page instantly.
Now it take 15 seconds to scroll down and another 15 seconds to scroll back up to where you have already been.
Are we now doing dynamic server requests for every five lines displayed on the screen and then repeating them when we scroll back up?
