Application Developer

Location: NYC

Duration:  8+ mos

 

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Manage build release of large scale, multi-tier applications that impact the Equities business and technology.

·         Research, analyze, design, develop, test and implement programs for software applications.

·         Communicate with users and business analysts to determine the needs of the organization.

·         Analyze this information in order to determine the necessary modifications to existing system or the necessary components for a new system by applying skills in structured analysis and design.

·         Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational and performance requirements of overall system.

·         Formulate, design and develop the new software system or improvements to the existing system, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

·         Coordinate installation of software system.

·         Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance.

·         Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures.

·         Provide technical services to clients relating to use, operation and maintenance of software tools and systems.

·         Monitor functioning of software tools to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
